Why would they not include the agents for any of the applications that come with Windows Small Business Server in the Backup Exec version that's targeted at that server? That's the thing I was having trouble understanding, it didn't seem to make any sense. Unless things have changed, Backup Exec does not come with data reduplication builtin. I can put you in touch with reps at either place. ![]() I would recommend looking at something like AppAssure or Unitrends so you do not get overcharged license fees. ![]() Covering any other systems in terms of files, Exchange, SQL, etc. With what you have described above, you most likely only get license to backup any files on the server that you will use to run Backup Exec. The agents for SQL, Exchange, and AD are going to be something you can install only if you buy the license for each.
